misting hues

misting hues
greys and blues

birds' wings flopped
across the yard
as they were sopped

drops melted
into the solid earth
to make a felted
lawn to keep

the day's haze
calls out to me
crawl inside
with the page
laid out for me

letters fall
words precipitate
the keys tip tap
and drip drop
drizzling on the page

  1. I love your onomatopoeia and alliteration. It's a beautiful poem. Me encanta la lluvia.
