cocoon

we wrap ourselves in the fabric of life
getting cozy with the layers of ourselves
accepting all those parts
be them pretty or not quite so
as we wrap in this fabric
the fabric of our lives
we rest, we dream
we begin to envision
the beauty this has lead us to be
and we roll in this translucent cocoon
as we finally feel our truth
see the divine beauty within
we yawn in love
our eyes slowly open
and this fabric of our lives
that's nurtured us
created us
lead us here
begins to unravel
it's blessed us
and now releases us
out into the world
stronger, wiser
more beautiful
and more authentic
we are becoming
released from the cocoon
